From prayer and into the hand a message. Transcend us out of time, to see from on high, the one who holds, behold from the sky will arrive and has arrived.

This collection of seven works acts as a message about the Divine beyond time in what has already been done, a confidence for the soul. The Crowned Collection is a body of seven paintings created as fragments of a single, unfolding mystery. Each work carries a word—Crowned, Called, Came, Carried, Cried, Caught, Claimed—forming a sequence that can be read as a passage, though its beginning and ending remain uncertain. Each painting is built upon a wood panel layered with a plaster mixture, primed, and then painted with thin layers of oil. Cracks, marks, and interruptions are deliberately formed into the surface, allowing the paintings to carry the appearance of something carried by time. The image seems to exist not only upon the surface, but within it. The aged surfaces become a meditation on time itself.
