UNTIL - II
36×36 in (91×91 cm)
Oil on panel
“Until - II” is part of my most contemporary work. It starts by creating a unique mineral surface as the foundation, intentional distress and marks are sculpted into the surface, a thinned oil paint is slowly added layer by layer from a refined, matured and toned down palette. This continual cycle of addition and subtraction creates a depth that cannot be achieved in a single application, giving each work the appearance of having quietly endured the passage of time.
“Until - II” and my current series, at the moment represents the Patience our soul most endure through.
All works are shipped with hanging material installed.
*Color may vary depending on screen and lighting
